Before we got engaged, my dream proposal was waking up next to the love of my life with a big ring on my finger in my matching pajamas. Knowing this, but not believing it, Jacob planned a special morning proposal on December 24, followed by a surprise brunch with our families. The night before, after a massive headache, I took a COVID test that turned out positive. Needless to say, all plans came to a screeching halt! During my quarantine period, I quickly realized that I look like Fiona from Shrek in the mornings when I wake up. It was then that I changed my mind about my dream proposal lol. On my last day of quarantine, Jacob and I made the last minute decision to celebrate New Years Eve in Las Vegas with my sisters. We went to dinner and made plans to watch the water show and fireworks in front of the Bellagio Hotel at midnight. Of course, because the proposal wasn't ruined once already, the water show had been cancelled due to the wind advisory. When the clock finally hit midnight, and the fireworks were going off everywhere, Jacob got down on one knee and I hit him on the shoulder because I though he was joking! When I realized he was being serious, I had instant tears of joy and I think I blacked out for a minute. It wasn't until minutes later that I actually saw that he had bought me my dream ring! He's a keeper :)
